SiC components for high-temperature equipment

For the most demanding high-temperature applications, HuaCera® sintered silicon carbide outperforms most metals, refractory materials, and other ceramics.

The material's high thermal conductivity and low thermal expansion coefficient give it excellent thermal shock resistance, allowing it to withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking or failure. The maximum operating temperature in an atmospheric environment can reach 1800°C. At high temperatures, the strength of HuaCera® sintered silicon carbide actually increases, while that of other ceramics and metals rapidly decreases. It also has good creep (stress deformation) resistance and oxidation resistance, making it very suitable for long-term use in harsh high-temperature industrial environments.
