SiC Auto Water Pump Seal Faces
In automotive water pump seals, silicon carbide seal rings mainly serve as the rotating and stationary rings, achieving the sealing of the internal rotating shaft of the water pump from the external medium, preventing coolant leakage. Their wear resistance and corrosion resistance reduce mechanical wear and corrosion damage, improving the efficiency and lifespan of the engine cooling system.
Due to better wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and thermal shock resistance, over the past decades, driven by the industry, SSiC seal rings used in automotive water pump seals have replaced traditional alumina seal rings. SSiC has proven to be more suitable to meet the performance requirements of modern fuel vehicles—durable and leak-free throughout the vehicle's lifespan.
