Light-weighted SiC mirror blank
Thanks to the excellent physical properties of HuaCera® silicon carbide material and Huashuo Advanced Ceramic’s continuous practice and innovative pursuit in silicon carbide lightweight technology, Huashuo can help customers realize many design solutions that were previously unattainable, whether with traditional mirror materials or other silicon carbide materials.
Huashuo Advanced Ceramics can produce and deliver products based on customized SiC mirror blanks, and can also provide lightweight solutions for mirror blanks according to customer-designed mirrors to achieve optimal mirror performance.
Various commonly used shapes of mirror substrates can be produced and delivered: flat mirror blanks, double flat mirror blanks, spherical mirror blanks, and aspherical mirror blanks.
Application fields of silicon carbide mirrors
- Optical instruments: telescopes, microscopes, spectrometers, interferometers, rangefinders, etc.
- Laser technology: This is one of the core and most demanding fields for mirror applications: a) forming laser resonant cavities; b) guiding, steering, and folding laser beams; c) used in beam scanning systems (scanning mirrors); d) used for beam focusing.
