SiC Mechanical Seal Rings
HuaCera® silicon carbide mechanical seal rings are lightweight, have a low coefficient of thermal expansion, high hardness, and excellent high-temperature strength. They also offer excellent dimensional stability even at extremely low and high temperatures. They also possess strong corrosion resistance, a high elastic modulus, wear resistance, and a long service life. They can be used in complex operating conditions such as those involving radioactive, corrosive, highly toxic, flammable, explosive, and high-temperature environments.
Typical applications of HuaCera® SiC mechanical seal rings
- Pump seals (pumps for refining and petrochemical processes, power plant process pumps, general industrial pumps, chemical pumps, marine pumps, centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, nuclear reactor cooling water pumps);
- Agitators and mixers used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing industries;
- Rotary joints;
- Compressors in the petrochemical and natural gas industries;
- Seals for water turbines and ship propulsion shafts;
- Especially suitable for harsh applications, such as those handling contaminated fluids, abrasive fluids, and/or strongly corrosive fluids.
