Infrared focal plane SiC substrate

The functional requirements of infrared focal plane substrates and cold platforms demand materials with low thermal expansion performance matching that of Si and good thermal conductivity.

As the size of infrared detectors continues to grow and aerospace application requirements increase, the density of substrate and cold platform materials also needs to be lower. The performance of traditional low-expansion packaging alloys is difficult to fully meet these requirements, while HuaCera® silicon carbide ceramic materials can well satisfy the needs of substrate and cold platform materials in these aspects.

For substrates and cold platform materials in ultra-large array and stitched detector assemblies, silicon carbide ceramics are an excellent choice.
